W HOTEL
When it comes to location, quality, amenities, and vibe-check,m the W Hotel passes.
Located in the heart of the Obarrio neighborhood off of Calle 50 it is situated in the middle of downtown Panama City, one block from Le Palace, across the street of Karma, and about 5 minute walk from the former Habanos & La Colombiana. It is only about 20 minutes from the international airport of Tocumen and 15 minutes from the Casco Viejo neighborhood or the canal. Pretty convenient location.
The amenities consist of a rooftop pool, gym, masseuse, lobby bar, pool bar, french bakery and restuarant, and multiple dining spots just onsite, but its proximity to other great restaurants is pretty key.
Quality of the rooms is top end with the penthouses including DJ booth setups, large party friendly designed spaces, with bar, and large seating arrangements. Each penthouse has a jacuzzi tub with floor to ceiling windows to make it kinky as you look out upon the city.
For vibe, pretty much every other group staying there is a bachelor party so the entire place is catering to the same type of groups. There are bi-monthly public pool parties during the summer months (Jan - April) on Sundays so definitley a plus to staying here. Otherwise, you can book one of the cabanas for your own pool party action and we can even arrange a DJ for you at the W pool. The management is flexible and willing to work with us to make sure your party vacation is a good one. Pricing is pretty much market standard for higher-end brand hotels in Panama City ranging from about $165 per night for the standard king single up to $1000 per night for the one-bedroom penthouse. Pricing does vary per season and prices could go up if occupancy goes up, making those final rooms more pricey. There is only 1 E WOW Penthouse, 2 WOW Penthouses, and a variety of all other suites and rooms.
