Lake Fishing on the Panama Canal | Lago Gatun

So you're visiting Panama and trying to figure out a plan of what to do. You want to go fishing, but don't want to spend the time or the money for a full deep sea fishing excursion, so that's where our option for freshwater lake fishing comes into play. You can do a half day fishing excursion on the Panama Canal going after peacock bass. This excursion is way more chill and you'll get to experience a part of Panama few really able to, while you fish in the heart of the jungle along the Panama Canal.

This experience will combo into the monkey island jungle safari so you'll get to see toucans, slothes, a variety of monkey species, and most importantly - fish!

ITINERARY

We of course recommend early morning for the best fishing, but we can arrange start time whenever works for the group as we are flexible to your vacation time and this is private to your group.

We pick you up in Panama City, Panama and pending the traffic it will take about 40 min to drive to Gamboa where we will launch from. It'll be about 30 min runtime up the canal into the jungle. You'll fish for about 3 hours or really depending on how the group feels. All in all with drive time it is about a 5 hour experience.
